Discover A Different Approach To Construction Training

Our course provides first-class training in a friendly environment.

This qualification is designed for learners working in, or aspiring to work in, the construction industry.

The objective of the qualification is to prepare learners for employment in construction. It will give learners the knowledge to undertake their jobs safely.

Successful learners who also complete the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment knowledge test to fulfil the requirements to apply for the CSCS Labourer’s card.

This qualification covers common hazards and risks in a construction environment, safe manual handling practices, working safely at height and working safely around plant and machinery.

It also covers the importance of effective teamwork and communication in ensuring safe working practices are followed in the construction industry.

BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Construction

The BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Construction provides you with a general introduction to the construction industry and gives a great overview of the sector and the employment prospects it has to offer.

The training covers:

An overview of the Construction Industry
Understanding the job opportunities available
A strong foundation to progress onto a vocational course in construction

L1 Award in Health and Safety within Construction

The L1 Award in Health and Safety within Construction provides the knowledge and tools required to work safely whilst also gaining an internationally recognised and respected certification that delivers health, safety and environmental basics covered in a single programme.

This unit includes:

Learning about efficient collaboration and communication
Understanding how to maintain safe working practices in the construction industry

Who is this qualification for?

As it provides an introduction to some of the key themes within the construction sector, this ESFA funded qualification enables you to develop and apply your knowledge whilst also acquiring a range of relevant practical, communication and technical construction-related skills.

Eligibility And Course Duration

Age: 19 years plus

Must be in receipt of some form of benefit

In total the course runs for 8 days including customer service Level 1, with the final day used to practice for the CSCS card test. Booking of test will be at a time and date of your choice.
