Our Door Supervisor Security Course, gives you the skills and knowledge to work in the security industry. On successful completion of the course, you will obtain an SIA licence, which is a legal requirement if you are looking to work in the industry.

Plus, you will get a guaranteed interview with a local reputable security firm.

Occupations in security range from the traditional uniformed security officer, door supervisor & event staff, which you can start straight after getting your SIA badge, to highly skilled roles where further training is necessary. Either way, there are numerous avenues for you to consider.

Level 2 Award in Door Supervision: Content 

Unit 01

Working in the private security industry

  • Understand legislation as it applies to a security operative

  • Understand arrest procedures, the importance of safe working practices & fire procedures in the workplace

  • Understand emergency procedures, how to communicate effectively & the importance of record keeping

  • Understanding terror threats, keeping people safe and post incident management

Unit 02

Working as a door supervisor in the private security industry

  • Understand crimes, licensing laws and drug-misuse relevant to door supervision

  • Know how to effectively conduct searches and preserve evidence

  • Understand queue management and venue capacity

Unit 03

Conflict management in the private security industry

  • Understand the principles of conflict management, including how to recognise, asses and reduce risk

  • Demonstrate ways to de-escalate conflict and how to address unacceptable behaviour

Unit 04

Physical intervention in the private security industry

  • Understand physical intervention and the implications and risks of use

  • Understand how to reduce the risks associated with physical intervention

  • How to protect yourself and others '

  • How to use non-pain compliant techniques

On completion of our course, you will ALSO have achieved the following qualifications

Level 1 Award in Customer Service

This covers identifying and understanding the needs of customer and managing customer expectations.

Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills

This covers 8 units including Health & Safety, Interview Skills, Working as a Team & Problem Solving.

3

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid 

This covers roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to recognise and respond to signs and symptoms of injury and illness, plus CPR.
